3 January 2021
Following the amazing response to the first Searching 4 Neverland fundraising challenge, where we raised over $3000 for the first 10 non-profits featured on the site, I decided to throw my joints back into turmoil and throw down another physical challenge.
On Sunday 3rd Jan 2021, I got very well aquatinted with one of my most loved/hated disciplines, the sand dune sprint.
My goal at the start of the day was to complete 100 dune sprints which equalled 5km of the uphill section. As the day progressed I had resigned to the fact that 100 may be out of my reach, but with the support of some legends around me, I managed to haul my way through the last 20 laps and reach my goal.
Easily one of the hardest physical experiences of my life, but it was worth all the sweat and tears as we were able to raise $1470 for 10 organisations.
From the bottom of my heart, I’m thanking everyone that took the time to research and then donate to the causes.
Looking forward to the next one, later in the year……….
